English Emerald Sea Glass Pendant

What a beautiful piece of sea glass! It has layers of emerald green glass on top of clear glass. This pieces comes from England and dates back to a Victorian era glass factory. This type of glass is known as endOday glass or slag glass and is made with scrap glass. At the end of the work day in a now defunct English glass factory workers were allowed to make items for themselves with the leftover molten glass. In order to have enough to do something with they would mix it together and this often resulted in multicolored glass. Then whatever scraps were left after that went into the North Sea! I designed this piece so that you can enjoy viewing it from all angles, each side is finished with a sea spiral detail.
