Ultra-Violet Lavender Pendant
This lavender sea glass was found in Puerto Rico in an area that is famous for it's surf, it was worn smooth by some of the Caribbeans most powerful waves. The color is more pf a plum lavender as it leans more towards red-violet on the color wheel than blue-violet. This treasure has had an amazing journey. It started out as clear colorless glass that was made with manganese in the late 1880's. In addition to being tossed around by Puerto Rico's surf it was also exposed to the Caribbean sun. The sunlight interacted with the manganese and caused it to turn lavender.
