Pieces Of Eight Sea Glass Pendant
Lavender sea glass is truly amazing. Not only has it been transformed from sharp shiny glass into a frosted treasure by the sea but the color has been transformed by the sun! This glass started out as clear colorless glass and is now lavender because of a chemical reaction to the sun. This wonderful sea glass will continue to deepen in color if exposed to the sun. In the meantime am keeping it on a sunny windowsill in Florida. lavender sea glass is rare and highly collectible. This piece was found in Puerto Rico. The link is a sterling silver hammered figure eight that I made by hand. This pendant is reversible so it can be worn on either side.
