North Sea Glass Pendant

This Victorian era English sea glass was worn smooth by the North Sea Rare multi colored blue English sea glass that was worn smooth in the North Sea

Reversible - Can Be Worn On Either Side

Sea glass emerges from the sea as something gem-like yet glass itself is really a "supercooled" liquid. In molten form it is like honey. This sea glass comes from EndOday glass. It dates back to Victorian era England. At the end of the day workers mixed scraps of molten glass together and then discard it into the North sea.

I could not begin to describe this piece of sea glass - the colors range from deep inky blue-black to China blue, royal blue, aqua-emerald-green...

This sea glass is very frosty because it has been at sea for over 150 years and because it is thick and round in shape. Glass shaped like this really rolls around in the ocean and frosts a little differently than flatter thinner pieces. I did blot baby oil on it which clarifies the frost so you can see the true colors of the glass, the baby oil is blotted off to the point where it does not leave any residue on you or your clothes. This is not a permanent alteration, the frost is still there. In fact when you go to wash this piece it will be very frosty but over time the frost will become clear from handling and wearing this pendant or even from humid air.
