The red sea glass in these earrings was collected in Puerto Rico where it is a rare color. Most of the red sea glass found in Puerto Rico comes from depression era tableware. Some red sea glass may come from Victorian era windows as well.
Findings are the components that hold jewelry together such as ear wires, chains, clasps, and links. I make most of them myself from wire using techniques that have changed little since ancient times.
A classic pair of red sea glass earrings in the ultimate sea siren design. The sea glass is adorned with Swarovski crystal beads and cultured freshwater pearls. I added pearls to the ear wires, which I make by hand, which really gives them some mermaid charm.
