Red Sea Glass
Red sea glass is perhaps the most sought after of all the sea glass colors. In Puerto Rico red sea glass is rare but of all of Puerto Rico's rare sea glass colors it is the most common. When I first started collecting sea glass on the island it was not unheard of to find over a dozen pieces a day and that was after someone else may have gone ahead of you and found at least that many! Red sea glass from Puerto Rico is ideal for use in earrings as the pieces are perfect for matching. I do not know if it is due to the type of glass it originated from or the natural conditions.
Antillean Garnet Sea Glass Earrings
This is an incredible pair of red sea glass earrings. These are ultra rare large pieces of red sea glass. Matching up sea glass such as this is quite an accomplishment as well. The color is a deep garnet and it is beautifully frosted. These treasures where found in Puerto Rico. As with all Out Of The Blue Seaglass Jewelry the ear wires are hand formed and forged in my studio giving these earrings a rustic yet elegant quality.
