Rivermouth Torquoise Sea Glass Earrings

Rivermouth Torquoise Sea Glass Earrings

The torquoise sea glass in these earrings is very rare. I found both pieces at Rivermouth in Rincón, Puerto Rico. Rivermouth was named as a top sea glass collecting spot in a recent edition of Martha Stewart Living Magazine.

Much of the sea glass I have collected there does not have a lot of white frost, it has more of a satiny finish. I don't know if it is the grit of the sand, the composition of the sea water in the area or the very strong undertow near Rivermouth that causes this. This torquoise sea glass probably comes from old windows from Victorian era houses. These old houses along with the windows in place are still bulldozed down in Puerto Rico.

The torquoise sea glass is complimented by Swarovski crystal beads in one of their newer colors Caribbean Opal. The sea glass pieces are small. Very special pair of earrings.
