With the exception of the dolphin clasp I make all of the findings ( the components that hold jewelry together ) myself, with precious metal wire such as Sterling silver or copper.
I use ancient cold working techniques, simple hand tools and heavy gauge wire. Cold working is a solderless method. Jewelry made this way is durable due to the heavy wire gauges. The wire becomes even stronger as I work harden it before and during the process. Chains made this way are often stronger than soldered chains made in light gauge wire.
I rarely use prefabricated "purchased" findings which are mass produced. On these ocassions it will be noted in the jewelry description.
