Puerto Rican Sea Glass Colors
This is specific to Puerto Rico, and not meant to be a definitive list of the colors and origins of Puerto Rican sea glass. I have collected well over 100,000 pieces of sea glass there and that is what I base this on.
Others with similar experience may see things differently. There is always more to learn and discover. My goal is to provide some insight by sharing what I have learned from the sea.
Universal wisdom is great in determing rarity in the grand scheme of things but when applied to a specific region obscures the localities story. I prefer to interpret sea glass in its cultural and regional context.
There are some universal truths. White, amber, brown and kelly green are common in most sea glass spots and the blues usually fall somewhere in the uncommon to rare categories.
This is a work in progress!
