Copper is such a wonderful metal it is beautiful, fun to work with and inexpensive compared to silver. I made this necklace by hand with copper wire that I shaped and forged with simple hand tools. This piece has a patina that tones down the brightness of the copper to a warm candle light glow. It is not the verdigris patina that is usually associated with copper. It is a dark patina that brings out the detail of the wire work. I made the chain with 6mm Czech firepolished glass beads that are amber with a bluish purple aurora-borealis finish. There are seven pieces of amber sea glass from Puerto Rico and eight sea spiral charms. If properly cared for this necklace will last a lifetime and beyond. As this piece is made with copper wire it is very affordable. 24" in length.
