Torquoise Polaris Earrings

These two pieces of sea glass are slightly different in color which makes for a pair of extraordinary sea glass earrings. They could be described as cerulean, aegean, capri...They are both very rare colors but the bluer piece is exceptionally rare - possibly rarer than orange sea glass!
The ancient Phoenicians were the first to use Polaris, the North Star for navigation at sea. They also were some of the first craftsmen to use silver and may have played a role in the invention of glass. The spiral detail represents the North Star. These earrings would have been a big hit in the ancient world. Sea glass found in Rincón, Puerto Rico and is small in size.
