Welcome! I hope that you enjoy visiting our website. This adventure of beachcombing and making sea glass jewelery began a long long time ago for me in 1987. I started making jewelry with these sea changed gems while living in Rincon, Puerto Rico. I found my first piece of sea glass on a beach in Rincon and have been making sea glass jewelry ever since. Although a latecomer to the web my company is the oldest full time sea glass jewelry business in the world. Prior to having a website I sold sea glass jewelry in Puerto Rico by way of the coconut telegraph, from a table on the beach and from a gallery space.
I am just as much of a sea glass collector as I am a sea glass jewelry artist and have spent much of my life exploring beaches all over the world. My husband and I love to wander beaches and sometimes we are fortunate to find sea glass and other sea worn treasures. Most of the sea glass used in my jewelry was collected by us either in Puerto Rico or other locations. My mom is Puerto Rican and while collecting sea glass on the island I often have a sense that my ancestors are reaching through the waves to hand me frosty vitreous bits of Puerto Rico's legacy.

I often find myself wondering what ancient people that lived by the sea would have done with sea glass. With this inquiry in mind I strive to make jewelry that has a rustic elegance and a timeless beauty. This is truly handmade sea glass jewelry as the ear-wires, links, chains & many of the clasps are made in studio by hand with simple tools and techniques that have changed little since ancient times.

What Is Sea Glass Or Beach Glass?
Sea glass or beach glass is our lost broken glass that has found its way to the sea where it is transformed into frosted gem like treasures by the natural tumbling action of the tides. Often poetically referred to as "Mermaids Tears" sea glass washes up on beaches all over the world. In writing you will sometimes see seaglass, or beachglass. I love the oneness of "seaglass" after all those years in the ocean it has become something beyond man made glass. It is as if the glass has blended with the sea and the two are now inseparable. The way you can hold a seashell up to your ear and hear the ocean I find that you can feel the power of the sea when you hold a piece of sea glass in your hand.
